Black Hole

The photo.Of the impossible.Across the vast distance of open space we turned radio waves into a picture of a star eater.

A black hole the size of our solar system lurking in its infinite total darkness fifty four million light years away in another galaxy much much larger than our own.

The sheer size of this space behemoth defies imagination at forty billion kilometres across lit by a bright gas circle heated from the suctioning event horizon across the face of this circle of nothingness, created by a collapsing star.

The more suns it consumes the larger it gets, it is like feeding the beast of the universe that has ripped a hole in the cosmos itself. It is terrifying and wonderful and awe inspiring all at once, a thing of interstellar dreams.
